Tuff Fish

I love this guy. He is so funny. I think I need to do a Tuff Fishtm cast of my own one of these nights. I will say I think he falls in love with his TPTK hands a little too much but I would not call him a horrible player. Any comments? Most of his thinking seems fairly solid.

The only comment I have on him is: I haven't watched all that many of his videos yet, but "the classic" (i can't remember the file name as I renamed it on my machine - yes I got it right on my desktop and everytime I feel bad about poker, I just fire it up and watch the first few minutes (where he moans about people calling him like crazy and all, and the he pushes his sevens into the set of kings and totally goes bezerk) and I'm in a totally cheered up mood again).

So I'm not in the position to really analyze his play in depth, but from what I've seen he's diggin his own grave more often than not and he's so quickly pissed off once he misses a flop or two that it's just a matter of time before he blows up (at least for that session).

He is terrible at one thing that is paramount at NLHE, hand reading. If a scare card comes, he just assumes that it hits his opponent's hand without actually thinking through the hand.

He also overbets far more than he should because he is always in fear of playing a hand (which is what he is doing when he says "they call me like crazy").

IMO, he could beat 100NL, but nothing above that.

Good point there Wes, that's two things that stood out for me too (as I said before, I haven't watched that many of his videos, but at least five or six, so I guess there's sort of a pattern to it):

1. He scares a lot of people out with big overbets and then goes on and complains that he can't get any action.

2. He either believes it all or doesn't believe it and pays them off - as you said: without thinking about how the hand play itself to this point...

Wes nails it on the head. He always assumes the scare card has hit his opponent.

It is joy watching those still.

he needs to reraise more to see where he really stands and he duz overbet too much. he'd be eazy to float when a draw hits the board.

I don't think he's good enough to beat 100. He routinely makes the correct analysis (I have a drawing hand, it's heads-up, and I'm out of position), but then follows with the wrong action (I call!)

He also routinely just does things in the worst possible way.

Not to mention the massive tilt issues where he'll donk off a stack with like pocket 9s, on a K high board.

I vote that he can beat the 25 game.
